The Carolina Panthers made roster adjustments by waiving defensive tackle Nick Thurman and signing two players to the practice squad. Thurman, who participated in all nine games this season with four starts, was released to create an opening on the 53-man roster.

Wide receiver Cam Johnson and safety Alex Cook were added to the practice squad. Cook has been part of the team intermittently over this season and last. Johnson, an undrafted rookie from Northwestern University, previously spent time with the Dallas Cowboys during their training camp.

These moves follow Tuesday's trade of wide receiver Jonathan Mingo and the release of linebacker Jacoby Windmon. The Panthers now have four open spots on their roster as they prepare for practice this week. Several players are nearing their return to play, including rookie running back Jonathon Brooks.
