Panthers head coach Dave Canales announced that Bryce Young will start as quarterback for the third consecutive game this week against the Giants in Germany.
Young recently played a significant role in the Panthers' 23-22 victory over the Saints, which included throwing for 171 yards and one touchdown. Despite an interception by Saints cornerback Shemar-Jean Charles, Coach Canales described Young's performance as "solid." The interception occurred when Charles intercepted a pass intended for Xavier Legette.
In addition to his passing statistics, Young led a game-winning touchdown drive and concluded the game in victory formation, both firsts in his NFL career.
Earlier this season, Young started the initial two games before returning to the lineup following Andy Dalton's absence due to a sprained right thumb sustained in a car accident two weeks ago.
