Mecklenburg County is set to host its third annual meeting related to the National Opioid Settlement, which is part of an agreement from 2021. This settlement will provide Mecklenburg County with $73 million over 18 years to aid communities affected by opioids.

The meeting, designed for community involvement in local planning and solutions, will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. at CPCC’s Harris Conference Center in Charlotte. It aims to gather public input that will guide the county's investment strategies and priorities concerning the settlement funds.

This year's event is organized in collaboration with Charlotte is Creative and RIZE Consultants. It includes an immersive experience showcasing intervention strategies funded by Mecklenburg County to combat the opioid crisis and assess their impact so far.

The meeting is free and open to all residents who wish to attend. Interested individuals are encouraged to register online by March 24, 2025.
